Hello All,
Talked to my lawyer today about the checks; they have been encashed for myself and my spouse on 9/4. My RN starts with SRC.
My I-140 was approved from Texas and my AOS/485 was mailed on july 2nd and arrived on july 3rd to NSC.
Just a curious question for those you have already received their RN#. When checking the case status it displays "I485 APPLICATION TO REGISTER PERMANENT RESIDENCE OR TO ADJUST STATUS "...will this message change when EAD has been approved and mailed?

Its unfortunate that you ask us to UNITE and use 'EB2 elitist protectionism' in the same breath. I am not even going down the road of EB3 'smarter' than EB2 because a reverse argument is equally valid if not more. The law as stated above is what it is - there is a clear categorizaton established by law. If there is a level of frustration with it then a campaign to change it makes sense. However any proposed changes that arbitrarily assigns visa numbers just because 'my HR filed it the way it got filed' then you need to check with your HR and port over to EB2 - if you think your private US degree qualifies you for it. The position determines EB2 or EB3 and I'll leave it at that.
I have no problems in people expressing their opinion in an open forum and lobbying for change. The devil is in the detail. If the change means taking the EB2 excess visas to give to EB3 purely based on length of wait then I have every right to present another point of view - elitist protectionism or not.

Got a CRIS Notification for EAD Card PRODUCTION dated Sept 2nd for my wife.
EAD receipt Dat: July 23rd
Card Production date: Sept 2nd
They say it will take 30days to get in the mail..
No idea whether it really takes 30 days or less so I can verify actual validity of the EAD card !
I don't know what worked..mailed TSC a letter to expediate.. Also emailed Local Senator and Congressman to expediate my spouse's EAD renewal.

Yes, All of my checks got cashed today and i got all the reciepts in mail. RD is 06/01 and ND is 06/06 from Nebraska.

I'm very glad to hear the news. Let us see when my checks are going to be cashed. By the way, was your 485 packet signed by F.HEINAUER @NSC on July 16th?
I did called NSC IO yesterday and she said that my packet must have been in caught up in the front log.
Looks like all our 485 packets have been xfered to TSC from NSC. Hence SRCXXXXXXXXX

What are the tax implications for Aman or other recieving this. We dont want uncle sam to take a cut from something like this. Is there any CPA who can throw some light on this?
Maybe this money can be used to create an expense account which can reimburse Aman and others for their expenses. We got to convince the Core to let democracy in IV work one time to create this account.

Talk to your reps' office staff. Share your stories/struggles with them. Then sometimes you get to meet your congress rep. Go to nearest universities. Check out departments that are doing immigration research. Volunteer to share your story with them.
This way, you work for a cause as well as build your social network. Once you get your GC, you will see that you have all these new people you never knew them before.
A decision that I took few months back was to force IV core to agree to opening a state chapter in IL. Now I feel that initiative has reaped benefits as I am gaining contacts in local, state governments, immigration activists and also like minded people from neighboring states. This would not have happened if I had got a GC on a platter and did not have to struggle.
Now stop whining and do some action. ;)

Nma check is history now. After filed I-485, and 180 days passed, name check is not a factor for GC. If your NC is pending, still they issue you a GC.

from 485 receipt date. Nobody knows when USCIS will initiate FBI Name
Check. So I see a big playground for USCIS to play if it decides to play.

On what basis the law suite will be ? i guess they we are not entitled to get GC's, its a privilege but not a right, i agree this whole GC crap is costing our families in all forms, but still, the idea of law suit doesn't have merit.
Anything to do with EB immigration i mean even if administration is convinced to do some thing +ve, financial market and job market has to continue with +ve development atleast for few months, other wise there will be heck of outcry by the natives.
Mean while, best thing is some one coming out with unused visa numbers math to claim them plus some convincing arguments about encouraging or supporting legal immigration, because all these EB immigrants here are paying taxes atleast half a decade to decade long and living legally as well helping america continue as a leader in technology.
Rally's raising mexican flags costed them a lot by getting plenty of -ve attention even from immigation moderates, than doing any favor. Going squarely against them by using their own law will give a powerful tool to simply crush us in a different way,whichever country we may live in, it is never a right idea.
Any big initiatives during the financial turmoil simply wont yeild any positive result, this may be just a common sense,as well it is also understandable that no sensible politician will be willing to help immigrants(foreigners),by poking their own people in wrong way when the unemployment is close to historic range.

I am little pessimistic about landing as it might be a risk as you are already on AP. I read some people went on AP and come back no question asked. If you would've valid H1B visa, it might be easier. I had valid H1B approval and I use AVR to enter. If I had used AP to go back home, I would've abandoned the canadian PR. Its your choice.

local chapters....I have been part to two chapters but not seeing any communication happening around..

I have recd the I-797C Approval notice on the 11th but I have not recd the physical cards as yet. BTW I did not get any welcome e-mail or CPO mail - I directly got 485 Approval e-mail and that is all.
