After 6-7 months tell the employer that i'm going India for ever due to personal reasons - you know its not feasible for me to pay.
They can't cancel 140 after 6 months from approval ( or can they?) , they can't substitute the labor because its already used and July 17th has passed.
Then I actually go back to India , spend some time , come back silently because i have a EAD and AP.

No one can force you to work for them. If there is no breakage clause, then the agreement will not stand in court. Issue is when there is a breakage clause. If there is a breakage clause, you may either have to fight it or suck it up and pay the amount (as long as it is a basis for the amount - just saying "pay $10K if you leave the job" will not stand in court either).

Question for the organizers: If we just concentrate on the visa recapture bill, is that not a one shot solution for all issues. Because as per a very respected lawyer, that will make all EB categories current and will stay there for at least 2 more years.

Firstly, no one can shut down thoughts. They are inside your head. What I am saying is that match your thoughts with your actions, not just expression of thoughts. If you want to express your ideas and thoughts, do it in a way that its heard by people that matter. Your ideas and thoughts heard by other people like you is meaningless. If you can match ACTIONS to propogate your thoughts, by hauling your ass to Washington DC, spending some $$ out of pocket on travel to DC and meeting with a few of the 535 offices, then it matters. Otherwise your idea is not worth 2 cents sitting on forums read by people who are not legislators.
Secondly, YOU THINK that asking USCIS to follow the rules is easier than changing rules (thru legislation). That's because , you and many others like you, think of Government function as if its an IT project. Occupational hazard. That is not how the Government works. The reason they dont follow the rules is because they (1) dont care and (2) are not accountable. That means easier access. On the other hand, there is only one office heading USCIS, office of Emelio Gonzalez, and only one Michael Chertoff and only one DOJ and its FBI. So the access of more difficult and lobbying is more expensive.
When it comes to administration, you have limited leverage. Other than 2 people in the entire administration, no one is getting job by elections. The only 2 positions in this branch of Government that are elected and directly accountable to people are President and Vice President. Mike Chertoff of DHS or Emelio Gonzalez of USCIS wont lose next election coz those are on appointed positions not elected positions. Which also means that they dont have to worry about making people angry.
So you see, ASKING for good things like FIFO and Faster namecheck is great in theory. But please understand, from a civic lession viewpoint, the 3 branches of government viewpoint and then make suggestions.
Is Immigration Voice an organization that can raise 100,000 a month each month? NO. Not right now. Right now, people are busy checking their mailboxes for EAD cards. Out of 23,000 registered members, if each contribute $5 a month (equivalent to a burger, fries and coke), it is 100,000 a month. But it wont happen.
So until that happens, feel free to express your thoughts and opinions and brilliant ideas and happy forum discussion. If that's what makes you all happy and content.

ok, let me put the matter to rest before you take it out of context. My observation was based on the thread that we had for collecting the amount..I didn't see many EB3 folks contribute dollars....but now that 2 EB3 are vouching that enough EB3 folks contibuted, that's great. I just observed something and if it hurt you right down the spine, sorry. I filed PERM 3 months ago, I'm far off in this process. Just focus on advocay so that everyone gets their GCs. Good luck. I hate this EB2 vs EB3, this is a never ending debate. Just hope everyone gets their GC in time.
Nothing personal. I appreciate everybody's contribution and efforts. I was trying to dispel the notion that PD progress is somehow related to how much we contribute to advocacy efforts. That is just not true.

May god give you the courage to handle the stress and resposibality you have now.
I keep trying to convince.."Did i realy read that posting or was it just a bad dream"..unfortunalty its not a dream..!!!
Do get it checked from well know doctors. Here is a youtube version of comenecement speach given by Steve Jobs. Even he was diagnized with cancer and he spent whole day thinking of his resposibality. But that evening the doctors realzied it was curable cancer and were in tears ..!!!

This is a good idea - actually we could send flowers for cheap rates if we order it in bulk. Let me know who's in for this. We can open up a paypal account or use one of our own paypal account and start collecting funds and use it to send the flowers to the USCIS dept.

By the way - since I am in NOVA/DC, I can initiate some media coverage even if we can get some substantial number of people sending flowers.
